Kindergarten at Fairview

Our kindergarten program is designed to help your child grow physically, socially, emotionally and academically through their participation in a wide variety of individual and group experiences.  The importance of play is essential in the planning of these experiences.  We look forward to welcoming you to our kindergarten community.  Call the administration team to discuss your child’s application to attend kindergarten.  FIND OUT MORE…

Year 1 and beyond

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome students and parents / caregivers to Year 1 at Fairview Primary.  This is a significant transition time for your child from early childhood into the next phase of their education.  You will find quite a few differences in the Year 1 experience as we encourage greater independence and self management in students over the course of their first year in the “big school”. “A fair view of all things”

Welcome to Fairview Primary School, an Independent Public School with a proud history of educating Collie kids for over 60 years.

At Fairview, we strive to provide a rich learning environment, to inspire all children to achieve their personal best, both academically and socially.  We do this by working hard to achieve our school motto of ‘A fair view of all things’ and following our ethos of ‘CARE’. ‘CARE’ is central to our practice at Fairview and is the basis for the language of our school: At Fairview we Cooperate, we strive to Achieve, and we show Respect and Enthusiasm.

As an Independent Public School, part of the Western Australian Department of Education, we use the autonomy the system provides us to best meet the needs of your children. A point of difference for our school is our whole school pastoral care focus. Skills and strategies to engage in our social world are actively taught. Positive behaviour is the expectation, and inevitable conflict is managed through restorative practices. We believe that no child will achieve to their potential unless learning occurs in a nurturing environment by people who care.

In partnership with parents, all staff work hard to provide an inclusive and quality education. Our strong link to the local community is a critical part in making sure we can offer the most support to our families. For many of us, Collie is also our home, and we understand the importance of giving your children the strongest start they can get to their education to support them in being successful in an every growing and competitive world.

Please browse our website to learn more about what we can offer your child. Families are most welcome to contact the school to meet with me and tour our school.
